I’m a practicing astrologer living in the Silicon Valley, Bay Area, CA. Before I started analyzing charts for fun, I worked in Journalism and Education.

I received two BAs from Stanford University in English, with an emphasis in Creative Writing, and Iberian and Latin American Cultures; I received my M.Ed. from there as well.

Currently, I’m enrolled in Chris Brennan’s Hellenistic Astrology course through The Astrology School.

A little on my entree into Astrology:

Before I dove into the world of Astrology in 2020, I was skeptical of its efficacy, rolling my eyes at the idea that there could possibly be any validity in such seemingly fantastical claims. And yet, there was always a small part of me that was curious, looking up my sun sign for what I told myself were entertainment purposes, and casually (perhaps even covertly) flipping through the few astrology books in local bookstores.

Then, in 2020, while listening to “Sway,” a favorite podcast of mine hosted by tech journalist Kara Swisher, I heard Swisher interview astrologer Chani Nicholas. Nicholas read Swisher’s birth chart, and I experienced a sort of paradigm shift. My curiosity was piqued, and it led me to discover Nicholas’s book You Were Born For This, which then led me to Demetra George’s works and eventually the treasure trove of material in The Astrology Podcast… the rest is, as they say, history.
